Welcome
to Kinetic Works!
Kinetic Works Partners with Blumenthal Education Institute for SQUONK Opera Performances.
Martha Connerton/Kinetic Works is one of several local arts groups and performers invited to participate in a fantastic new project coming to town November 21-23, 2008.
SQUONK OPERA, a multi media performance company from Pittsburgh, PA, is currently collaborating with the Blumenthal Education Institute and various Charlotte organizations to develop "Charlotte, The Opera". An evening of fun and fancy that examines our city past-present-future through music, theater, dance, hip hop, visual media and general mayhem. If you think this sounds just like Charlotte Squawks, think again. SQUONK Opera is far more than a musical revue. It is an original performance art production, tailored to the history and hysteria of our fair city.
For more about SQUONK visit www.squonkopera.org
For ticket information contact The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center: www.ncbpac.org
Performances are November 21, 22, and 23 with a special student matinee for school on Nov. 21.

THE DANCING CHEF Takes Center Stage
You always knew Martha Connerton was multi-talented, but did you know she makes wedding cakes? OH YEAH!! She's been on hiatus for several years, but now The Dancing Chef is back, leaping and twirling through the world of culinary delights. Specialty cakes for any occassion are her forte, especially wedding cakes. She is also availabe for preparing small receptions and private dinner parties. If you want to see photos visit her page on Facebook or email: marthacon2@aol.com.
The best part is that all proceeds from The Dancing Chef are donated to Kinetic Works. So not only will you get the best cakes in town, but you'll be supporting the best contemporary dance company in town......SIMULTANEOUSLY!!!! Talk about a win/win.
